We are looking for a Solution Architect with expertise in Virtualization or Storage to the Global Infrastructure Consulting Services

As Solution Architect at our client you will be responsible for supporting the Sales Account Teams in design, planning and implementation of distributed and centralized IT Infrastructures in presales activities. You will also be responsible for the post sale delivery activities associated with these complex sales by planning the implementation of the IT Infrastructure, namely resources and capacity plan of the company. Project timeframe and technical commitments. Furthermore you could also act as technical project manager on large and complex projects.

What will you do?

• Responsible for the IT Architecture design, planning and implementation in one or several domains/practice areas (i.e. Storage, Microsoft or Server),
• Pre-sales responsibilities (30% of time): Acting as the main technical point of contact between customers, account managers, GICS partners,
• Technical lead as required for GICS projects during the pre-sales phase,
• Maintaining and utilizing detailed industry knowledge, including expert working level knowledge of Microsoft, Server or Storage Solutions processes and technologies. Confirms design and assumptions with the customer and/or partners,
• Collaboration with Engagement Managers and other Solution Consultants to ensure the integrity of proposed solutions including full responsibility for validating the complex solution design proposed,
• Constructing risk assessments and corresponding remediation plans relative to complex solutions proposals,
• Monitoring the construction of detailed financial models that align with complex solutions proposals,
• Post-sales/delivery (70%): Composing and validating of the Statement of Work and other documents, using departmental automation tools, methodology & all relevant expertise's as available, to craft detailed and accurate deliverables that specify the processes, technology etc involved in proposed solutions,
• Acting as a "trusted expert advisor" in virtualization solutions, (VM-ware HyperV , Database, Datacenter, System management, IT Transformation, IT Infrastructure Library are important secondary requirements) to both internal and external customers, ranging from formal advice to internal and external customer presentations,
• Following all organizational Standard Operating Procedure relative to cost modelling, approvals and reviews, and all other associated workflows and deliverables,
• As a member of a the team, the Solution Architect has to deliver the full architecture design including all technical components (HW, Middleware, Applications if needed, IT process) as well as planning all resources (Services Providers, contractors or sub-contractors) to project timeframes with milestones,
• On large and complex project, the Solution Architect could act as a deputy project manager or technical project manager under the responsibility of the project manager. On simple projects, the Solution Architect could be also the project manage.

• IT Infrastructure Architecture Planning, Design & Implementation;
• Project Methodology & Project Management;
• Pre-sales consultative skills;
• At least one of the following certifications: Microsoft Solutions Architecture Profile (MCSE) / Storage Solutions Architecture Profile (EMC Certified professional) / Server Solutions Architecture Profile (VMware Certified Professional)
  5-10 years industry experience in services from international and leading IT/consulting companies;
• Fluency in English and Dutch.
