A Networking Solution Specialist (NSS) is a pre-sales quota carrying technical salesperson focused on driving the sale of OEM networking (networking applies to Ethernet, FC, and Converged Fabric ) equipment and advanced OEM management software (V/OE). This person will work with existing account teams to identify opportunities, then architect, position, and close networking and advanced management solutions. The NSS will make customer sales calls to surface, qualify, position and close new network or advanced management customers.

An integral part of the sales team, the NSS is responsible for technical pre-sales support throughout the sales cycle. This includes, but is not limited to, the development and implementation of technical sales strategies, delivery of technical presentations, product demonstrations, customer focused seminars, and support for customer product evaluations.

Tasks

• The NSS will have an intimate working knowledge on how to size, scope and position network and advanced datacenter management solutions;
• The NSS will possess a competitive knowledge of the networking and management industry and must be able to articulate how the solutions are differentiated from the leading networking/server competitors. The NSS will also be required to position how these differences will impact the customer’s operational environment;
• The NSS will use their advanced technical knowledge to drive sales while insuring customer satisfaction through proper expectation management;
• As an integral part of the account team, the NSS will leverage their superior knowledge around networking and advanced management solutions to assist drive Server and Storage solutions while expanding these opportunities to include the entire network and management infrastructure from edge, through access, to the core networking;
• The NSS working in combination with the Enterprise Technologist team will act as the technology champion for networking and advanced management solutions within their respective teams.
