The tax authorities are working on this topic since last Tuesday the First Chamber agreed with the bill for the so-called “uniform wage slip concept”
The cabinet wants to introduce this new payslip by 2013. By skipping all sorts of special contributions, Employers and employees premiums, as well as several different charges, the payslip can become much simpler.
This new payslip should become very compact and fit into a text message. This should make the administration for Employers, employees and the tax authorities much more simple and reduce costs; for Employers alone about 380 million euro a year. Wage taxes are of great importance for the treasury. The income of 122 billion euro a year is good for half of the income of the government.
